Safe File Shredder is a file erasing/security tool. It prevents other users from recovering files that you want to delete or that you might have already deleted. It accomplishes this by using algorithms that move and write dummy data on top of the physical sectors, where your files were originally located, so that when the logical file gets deleted, the physical residues of the file can't be recovered at all.
Safe File Shredder allows you to take up to 5 passes of shredding over a file. The more passes, the more certainty that the file is gone completely. Also, the more passes, the longer the whole process takes.
Currently, the application only supports FAT and NTFS file systems, so you should be able to safely erase files on Windows. To make things easier, you can simply provide a list of files that you want to be erased, and the application will carry out shredding operations for all of them using a unique set of instructions (passes, etc).
There is one feature in this program I haven't seen in file shredders before. It allows you to move the data, while erasing traces of it ever existing.
Graphically, Safe File Shredder allows you to add files into a small window, choose a shredding method and click on "Execute."
